About us
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Hann Finance (“Hann Finance,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) processes personal data when you use our website and related content (the “Website”). For the purposes described below, Hann Finance acts as a data controller under applicable data protection laws.
What personal data we collect
Depending on how you interact with the Website, we may process the following categories of personal data:
Basic identifiers (when you submit forms/subscribe): name, email address.
Online identifiers: IP address, cookie identifiers, device/browser identifiers.
Usage/behavior data: pages viewed, referrers, clicks, timestamps, session metrics.
Communications data: the content and metadata of messages you send to us (e.g., support).
Web3-related data (public ledger context): wallet address you connect and transaction hashes you submit via our UI, which may be associated with publicly available on-chain data.
Providing personal data is not mandatory; however, certain Website features may be unavailable without essential data.
How we collect personal data
Directly from you: when you submit forms (e.g., contact) or interact with support.
Automatically: through cookies and similar technologies, embedded content, and performance/error telemetry.
From third parties: service providers that support our operations; publicly available sources.
Testnet scope (near-term): Testnet deployment is for testing only and uses valueless test tokens. Testnet activity logs and analytics are processed to improve quality and security. Testnet records may be reset without notice. (A mainnet deployment on Kaia is planned, and this Policy may be updated in connection with that deployment. We will provide notices of material changes as required by applicable law.)
Why we collect personal data
We use personal data to:
Provide and operate the Website - deliver features, keep the site available, handle requests, and offer support.
Keep the Website secure and reliable - detect/prevent fraud or abuse, protect our services, and enforce our Terms.
Improve the product - fix bugs, measure performance, and understand usage in aggregate.
Communicate with you - send service notices and, if you subscribe, optional product updates/newsletters.
Meet legal and compliance needs - satisfy record-keeping and respond to lawful requests.
Create de-identified statistics and insights - use information that doesn’t reasonably identify you.
Our data processing in detail
Newsletters
If you opt in, we use your email address to send updates. Each email includes an unsubscribe link. We may track basic engagement (opens/clicks) for deliverability and content relevance.
Cookies and similar technologies
We currently do not set any non-essential cookies on the Website. We may use essential storage (e.g., local storage) strictly to remember security and UX preferences that are necessary for the site to function.
For traffic and performance measurement, we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics from Vercel. These tools help us understand aggregate usage and real-user performance without building profiles that identify you across sites or across days.
Vercel Web Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to measure traffic in aggregate. It does not use cookies. Visitors are identified only by a short-lived hash derived from request data that resets regularly and cannot be used to track users across sites or across days. Collected data may include page paths, referrers, country (derived from IP), device/browser/OS information, and aggregated counts. We use this data to improve reliability and user experience.
Vercel Speed Insights
We use Vercel Speed Insights to monitor real-user performance (e.g., Web Vitals such as LCP, INP, CLS). Data points are anonymous and not tied to a persistent identifier. Stored fields may include route/URL, browser/OS/device type, network characteristics, country (ISO code), and performance metrics, which we use to diagnose and improve site speed and stability.
Links to third-party sites and social media
When you follow links to third-party services (e.g., docs, social channels), their privacy policies apply. We may maintain official accounts on platforms such as X, Discord, or Telegram; data processed within those platforms is governed by their policies.
How long we store personal data (retention)
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law, then delete or irreversibly anonymize it. Our typical retention windows:
Support records: until resolution + up to 24 months for auditing/disputes.
Testnet data: for testing/improvement only and may be cleared at any time.
On-chain data: public ledger records may be permanent and are not controlled by us.
With whom we share personal data
We share personal data only as necessary and with appropriate safeguards:
Processors/service providers: hosting and cloud, CDN/security, logging/monitoring, analytics, and email/helpdesk tools (processing under data processing agreements).
Affiliates (if applicable) to deliver consistent services.
Legal/compliance and safety: where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the Website.
Business transactions: in a merger, acquisition, or reorganization with safeguards.
At your direction/with your consent: e.g., when you connect a wallet or interact with third-party apps.
Third-country transfers
We may transfer your information internationally for storage and processing. Laws in those places may differ from yours. If we move data outside your region, we use legally required protections and add extra technical safeguards when needed.
Data disclosure
We may disclose personal data to competent authorities when required to comply with legal obligations, to protect our rights and property, to ensure user safety, or to investigate suspected unlawful activity or policy violations.
How we keep personal data safe (security)
We apply technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No method is 100% secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your wallet and private keys. We will never ask for your seed phrase.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, port, and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, please contact us at contact@hann.finance. Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests. We will only request information necessary to verify your identity and to process your request.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Website or by email where required. Your continued use of the Website after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
